(July 6, 2010, Rockville, MD) – Systalex Corporation, a leading information and IT solutions provider, announced today that it has been awarded a new contract from EPA to provide IT Services. Systalex will develop a system for EPA’s Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water (OGWDW).
OGWDW is responsible for implementing the programs established under the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) and its amendments. SDWA is the federal law that ensures the quality of Americans’ drinking water. SDWA has recently expanded to affect the nation’s air carriers under the Aircraft Drinking Water Rule (ADWR) for aircraft public water systems (PWSs).
Systalex will develop a web-based system known as the ADWR Reporting and Compliance System (ARCS) that will be used by EPA and air carriers to monitor and report drinking water quality on airplanes.
Ben Stefanick, Systalex Director of Delivery Services, attributed the award to “Systalex’s outstanding performance in support of similar programs within the EPA and the Office of Water, and the team’s ability to successfully develop customized solutions within critical schedule deadlines.”
