Systalex on the Winning Team Awarded the Financial System Modernization Contract from the US Environmental Protection Agency

Systalex to Provide Integration Support to Team Led by CGI Federal

22 February, 2007, Rockville, MD – Systalex Corporation, a leading information and IT solutions provider and the 4th ranked Small Technology Business in the DC metro Area by the Washington Business Journal, today announced that it is a member of the CGI Federal team chosen by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as the financial management shared service provider (SSP) for the EPA’s Financial System Modernization Project (FSMP).  Systalex will provide integration support as part of the CGI team.

The FSMP program includes modernizing EPA’s financial system to CGI’s commercial off-the-shelf Momentum® software and migrating EPA’s financial system IT hosting and application management to CGI’s SSP under the Financial Management Line of Business (FMLoB) initiative.  EPA’s FSMP award culminates the first large-scale financial system procurement conducted by a CFO Act federal agency under the FMLoB.

Systalex brings extensive federal financial systems management, earned value management and Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP) experience to the winning CGI Federal Team.  Systalex’s role includes integration support between the new Financial System and other systems including the Office of Pesticides Program Information Network (OPPIN), the Integrated Contracts Management System (ICMS), and the Small Purchase Electronic Data Interchange (SPEDI).

“Systalex has been working with the EPA for over five years, and this win is another validation of the quality work we consistently deliver,” said Weipo Liao, President and CEO of Systalex.  “This win, and our expanded relationship with companies like CGI Federal, will help Systalex continue to realize our stated goal of increasing our presence within the EPA.”
