Phill Magaro, Larry Freauff to Lead ExpandedSystalex Business Development and Operations Teams

January 31, 2007, Rockville, MD – Systalex Corporation, a leading information management and IT solutions provider and the 4th ranked Small Technology Business in the DC metro Area as determined by the Washington Business Journal, announced today that Phill Magaro has been appointed Vice President and Chief Operations Officer (COO), and Larry Freauff has been named Director of Business Development. Both individuals have been promoted to their new positions from within the Systalex corporate structure and represent Systalex’s commitment to positioning itself for sustainable strategic growth, expanding its business development activities, and rewarding its employees with opportunities for professional advancement.
Mr. Freauff joined Systalex in May 2006 as an Account Executive, leading Systalex’s business development within the Department of Commerce (DoC) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In his expanded role, Mr. Freauff is now responsible for the business development efforts of the entire Systalex sales team, and will lead the creation and execution of a sales plan that supports and enhances the established strategic growth goals of the corporation. Mr. Freauff is a retired U.S. Army Colonel with 30 years service, and is active on several industry and government councils, including serving as the Maryland State representative (and chairperson of the Homeland Security sub-committee) to Strengthening the Mid-Atlantic Region for Tomorrow (SMART) and chairing the Enterprise Systems sub-committee at Picatinny Arsenal, N.J.
Mr. Magaro joined Systalex in November 2005 as Vice President of Consulting Services and has been instrumental in streamlining Systalex’s corporate infrastructure and delivery organization to provide improved service to our customers, developing a knowledgeable and sophisticated business development team, and expanding the Systalex client base and sales pipeline. As the Chief Operations Officer, Mr. Magaro will oversee the business development, marketing, technology and solutions delivery efforts of the company. His extensive background with Oracle and the U.S. Department of Defense, his experience as a United States Naval Flight Officer, and his tenure with several leading-edge technology software and consulting companies are valuable additions to Systalex’s corporate leadership.
In the past year, Mr. Magaro and Mr. Freauff have been instrumental in Systalex achieving the number 4 ranking in the Washington Business Journal’s list of the top Small Technology Businesses in the Washington, DC Metro Area; increasing the business development pipeline by over $60 million; and adding additional agencies to the Systalex customer base.
