Steve Ford, Maureen Bigelow and Larry Freauff Join the Systalex Corporation Business Development Team

New Team Brings Over 60 Years IT and EVM Experience to the Technology Consulting Firm

(May 16, 2006, Rockville, MD) – Systalex Corporation, a leading information and IT solutions provider ranked in the Top 25 Small Technology Businesses by the Washington Business Journal, announced today that Mr. Steve Ford has joined Systalex as Director, Earned Value Management Systems and Ms. Maureen Bigelow and Mr. Larry Freauff have joined the Systalex business development team as Account Executives.

Mr. Ford, with over 20 years experience in program business management, is an expert in the field of earned value management systems (EVMS) and will lead Systalex’s EVMS service offerings. Prior to joining Systalex, Mr. Ford served as an independent EVMS consultant, delivering EVMS services internationally to government and industry organizations such as Thales Communications, United States Marine Corps, Lockheed Martin, United States Navy, the Canadian Space Agency, and Northrop Corporation, among others.

Ms. Bigelow’s efforts will focus on developing and growing Systalex’s presence within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Most recently serving as a Federal Account Manager with Northrop Grumman Information Technology, Ms. Bigelow possesses over 20 years of technology sales experience, including more than 15 years serving the needs of federal civilian agencies. Ms. Bigelow has extensive business development experience with DHS, delivering a broad range of information technology solutions, including hardware, software, and consulting services. Some of those technologies include: encryption, security IPS, database, SANS, enterprise Unix systems. Prior to the inception of DHS, Ms. Bigelow marketed software and consulting services extensively across a number of federal civilian agencies.

Mr. Freauff will primarily concentrate on managing Systalex’s business development efforts within the Department of Commerce (DoC), while also assisting with business capture activities within the Department of Defense. Mr. Freauff is a retired U.S. Army Colonel with 30 years service, including over 20 years experience in the information technology industry and served as co-chairperson of the marketing and pricing committees at DoC for the creation of the COMMITS NexGen contracting vehicle. Currently, Mr. Freauff serves on several industry and government councils, including the System of Systems Security Consortium (SOSSEC); chairperson for the Enterprise Systems sub-committee at Picatinny Arsenal, N.J.; and, Maryland State representative (and chairperson of the Homeland Security sub-committee) to Strengthening the Mid-Atlantic Region for Tomorrow (SMART).
